Our progress

We’ve been embedding sustainability across our operations for years. Here’s how that work is showing up across environment, social and governance.

Environment

We are proud to be Australia’s first water treatment and technology company to achieve Climate Active Carbon Neutral certification, a status we have maintained for four consecutive years across our operations in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. We measure our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions annually and have established reduction strategy aligned with a net-zero by 2050 pathway. Beyond our own operations, our treatment systems and ongoing product innovation enable water reuse, resource recovery from sludge and help our customers reduce their environmental impact.

100% renewable electricity across all Australian offices

15% reduction in total organisational emissions from our FY23 baseline

27% of waste diverted from landfill at head office

Social

We’re committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace for our employees, contractors and visitors. We invest in training, professional development and accredited engineering pathways that support our people’s long-term careers.

We extend the same commitment to our supply chain, with structured pre-qualification of contractors, fabricators and consultants, and ongoing assessment of priority suppliers against safety, environmental and ethical criteria, including modern slavery risk.

87% employee retention rate

92% of employees proud to work at Hydroflux

Governance

Strong governance is the foundation that allows us to operate with integrity and act on our commitments. Our Board provides strategic oversight, supported by a cross-functional Sustainability Committee chaired by our CEO that connects sustainability to our highest level of leadership.

As an innovation-led business, we take the security of our clients’ data and systems seriously. Our cybersecurity controls are aligned with leading Australian and international frameworks, and we govern the use of emerging tools like AI through clear internal policies.
