Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade at Brinks, Karaka

Brinks in Karaka required an upgrade to ensure treated water met discharge consent conditions for turbidity and phosphorus after biological treatment.

Hydroflux installed a HyDAF HD-75 DAF system to polish effluent following secondary aerobic treatment, providing reliable solids and phosphorus removal.

The HD-75 was fabricated locally in New Zealand, supporting rapid delivery and adaptation to local site conditions. It is part of Hydroflux’s HyDAF range, designed to treat flows from 50 kL/day to over 6 ML/day.

The Results

  • Reliable reduction in turbidity and phosphorus
  • Ongoing compliance with consent conditions
  • Locally manufactured, proven technology
  • Seamless integration with existing treatment processes

Technology in Action
