Hydroflux Awarded Complete Inlet Works Solution for Gloucester STP
October 1, 2026
A new forty-three million dollar sewage treatment plant to serve Gloucester and Barrington residents on the NSW central coast will see increased treatment capacity to match future population growth whilst meeting or exceeding discharge limits into the Gloucester River.
Hydroflux was awarded the supply, manufacture and commissioning of the inlet works system, which includes HUBER CenterMax® Centre Flow Band Screens, WAPSL Advanced Wash Presses, Vormax® Grit Removal together with the advanced RoSF4 grit washing classifier.

“The inlet works in any treatment plant represents the first line of defence in ensuring the downstream process is protected from accumulation of unwanted items such as plastics, screenings, rags and sand. These unwanted items, if not removed effectively, can reduce treatment plant performance and lead to increased maintenance and operating costs. We are pleased to be supporting this project with our technology, and we have similar installations in the region that has been operational for over a decade.
Our expertise within inlet works systems design, sizing, servicing and operation spans over three decades across Australia and New Zealand. Our technology base includes a wide range of technologies, so we select what is best suited for the application. We also can offer full Design Build capability if preferred by our customers” says John Koumoukelis, CEO of Hydroflux.

Hydroflux is working with principal contractor Leed to deliver this important project for MidCoast Council.
