July 2, 2026

Hydroflux Pacific recently upgraded the decentralised water treatment plant for one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality groups who operate hotels and resorts in over 40 countries, including Fiji, where their operation hosts over 300 guests.

To facilitate reliability and performance improvements, Hydroflux were contracted to provide upgrade works to part to decentralised treatment system, that included replacement of existing disinfection and automation equipment that was end of life.

“Our treatment systems that we have provided across Fiji process over two million litres per day of sewage and industrial wastewater streams. We recently fabricated an entire decentralised solution in Lautoka, working side by side with local mechanical workshops, providing beneficial employment and skills sharing to the area. We also have been providing service level agreements for our customers to ensure that the treatment assets operate to its design intent.

Not only do we offer a complete range of decentralised water and wastewater treatment plants, but we also provide upgrades to existing systems, to increase capacity, performance, reliability and automation” says John Koumoukelis, CEO of Hydroflux.

Hydroflux upgraded key components of the decentralised wastewater treatment system, replacing end-of-life disinfection and automation equipment.

Hydroflux provides a range of decentralised water, wastewater and sludge processing systems, that are of a modular design, with references across Australia and Asia Pacific. One of the major innovations we provide to support regions with limited access to construction equipment is our bolted Roadtrain® packaged plants.

Example of a Hydroflux Roadtrain® system providing sustainable wastewater treatment at another remote island resort, treating 80,000 L/day of wastewater with treated water reused for irrigation.
