January 30, 2024

Hydroflux is pleased to announce the appointment of Luis Bastos as CEO of Hydroflux Epco, the municipal business unit of the Hydroflux Group.

Made up of several market focused business units, Hydroflux is a sustainability driven organisation delivering unrivalled engineering, scientific and technological solutions for a more secure future, with a focus on water, wastewater, renewable energy, climate resilience and environmental protection.

“Hydroflux Epco has grown over the last decade, and we are delivering projects across all parts of Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific and PNG that include a wide range of our technologies. We were just awarded our first thermal dryer for a project in New Zealand, and last year, we were awarded the 7.2MLD upgrade of an MBR-based sewage treatment plant to produce recycled water. So with our expanded capability of HyPure® tertiary treatment, Advanced Biosolids Treatment and our Bioenergy portfolio, I am very excited about the future and, most importantly, the difference we will make in providing the sustainable use of water and biosolids,” says Luis Bastos, CEO of Hydroflux Epco.

With over 115 staff members, Hydroflux operates throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific via its eight office locations. The group has delivered over 460 projects for municipal, industrial and mining customers.

“Having over 17 years’ experience in the water market, Luis has been instrumental in the development and growth of Hydroflux Epco since its inception. Together with our CEOs, Mathew Foster of Hydroflux Industrial, Bruce Willis of Hydroflux Utilities, and our specialist sustainability consultancy Cress, Hydroflux is well placed to continue our mission of Protecting Our Most Valuable Resources for our customers,” says John Koumoukelis, CEO of Hydroflux.
