Premium Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade for Premier Beehive

October 31, 2023

Hydroflux recently completed the upgrade of the JBS Premier Beehive wastewater treatment plant at Carerton in the Wairarapa region where the company has been crafting a high-quality range of small goods for over 25 years.

Hydroflux was selected to conduct the upgrade due to its extensive experience in meat processing wastewater and on the back of several other successful projects completed for JBS in Australia including the installation of two large DAF systems designed to treat 6 ML/day at its Dinmore facility in Queensland.

The upgrade at Premier Beehive involved the installation of a new much larger balance tank to overcome issues with highly sporadic wastewater flow and loads, upgrade of the existing DAF system, chemical handling equipment, and sludge dewatering plant. The scope also included the design and installation of a new control system for the complete wastewater treatment plant.

One of 2 large DAF systems which can handle 6 ML/day was recently installed at a JBS processing plant in Queensland.
